Xbox Live isn't functioning on the new console

So are you saying that the remote management function needs to be enabled to allow Xbox live to work on that router? That sounds very strange indeed.

Personally I would not turn on that function and if I did only on a temporary basis it isn't related to Xbox live and just gives access to the routers web interface from the Internet.

Our Xbox won't even show up on the TV screen. What's going on? Earlier we just couldn't sign into Xbox live now it isn't functioning at all!

There was no reason for it stop functioning on the original Xbox, other than Microsoft decided to cease maintaining it. If shutting off Live services to the 360 means a few extra people will upgrade to the new console, you can bet your last breath MS will
do it.

Also, you should update your live status to reflect this issue as of now it says Twitch is fully functional which it isn't.
