Xbox live is filled with toxic players.

I'm not a PvPer, I never have been much for it, now I'm older and just dont have the reaction times for it. So I avoid online games, but recently I started playing Sea of Thieves. Its free on Ultimate so I figured it was worth a play. Wow, I get that PvP is a thing in that game, but you cant go one night without someone griefing you. I just had a horrible interaction with a player. I dont understand why Xbox sanctions this kind of player. I'd love to say that this was a one off, but this is 95% of the players I've met. It surprises me with how that game is built, what it's based on, it's even called a family friendly game. Yet anytime anyone wants to they can just stop by and completely ruin your experience and Xbox and Rare do nothing about it. Looking through the Pirate Commendations, Rare is even trying to foster a community of toxic people who prey on peaceful players who just want to spend some time in the caribean and hang out with eachother.



What I want to know Xbox, is why? Why would you create something so peaceful and alluring and fill it with such evil behavior? I fly the white flag and we get attacked. I stand by peacefully and we get attacked. I asked to be left alone and I get taunted, the attacker even thinks it's funny and goes at me even harder. And it's been going on for 5 years i see. I go look at Rare's forum, and it's filled with the same posts over and over that get locked so they cant be commented on. The ratings on the game in the store are filled with "Amazing game, toxic player base" and this entire time you've done nothing to address it. People beg for a way to escape these players and you build new ways for them to abuse peaceful players.

Ultimately I think the message is resoundingly clear. Rare and Xbox want a toxic community. They want this kind of drama going on, because it fuels even more, driving a rabid and toxic player base to constantly need even greater hieghts of the adreniline rush they get from being toxic. This creates a dependancy on thier games for something they cant get anywhere else. because any other place in society this behavior would land someone in jail or a civil court of law to face a lawsuit for their actions, but not here right fellas. Xbox has all the horrbile human behavior you could ever want.

The replies that follow, if the post doesnt get taken down, and likely it will, will be "Well dont play" or "It's a pirate game, what did you expect" or "Quit crying and get good"

The fact of the matter is nothing like this exists anywhere else, I've checked. Black Flag gets close, but there isnt any coop other than online multiplane MOBA mode, which is more of the same. And some of us dont come to games for intense compitition. Some of use just want to relax on the ocean.
