Xbox Live is down

It's Sunday 9:42 am. I've been AFK on Youtube while having breakfast and doing chores. Got back on my 360 to play Halo 4 and I needed to connect to XBL. I'm signing in and it's taking ages to sign in. I checked xbox live status NZ and social experience is
down and it effects both Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. They're on it tho. Todays the best day to catch up with my American/UK friends because of the time difference.

Many gamers are turning on their Xbox today and discovering that they cannot connect to Xbox Live, nor access Xbox.com to try and determine what is going on. Currently there’s no official reason as to why Xbox Live is down for many gamers, but Microsoft
are certainly aware of the problem.

The helpful bunch @XboxSupport are well aware of the problem and are currently being bombarded by a flurry of tweets demanding to know what’s going on, so please remember, folks, that these guys are trying to help you and they’re running flatout to try and
solve the problem, so have some patience.

“We are aware that many users are unable to connect to Xbox LIVE at this time as well. The issue is being investigated.” XboxSupport tweeted.

Don’t panic; not everyone is effected with many gamers still perfectly able to access Live.

So, what’s the best thing you can do if you are having problems? Simply have patience, the problem will hopefully be fixed soon

 

Im online right just finished playing Destiny and now Im watching Hulu.

 

FYI the service alert is for managing your friends list so not sure why said XBL is down.

Yes I was on my Xbox 360. When I'm on the Dashboard I see all my 100 Xbox friends. I can start my own party. I can check voice and txt messages. But when I play a game/app it disconnects me from XBL. When I go back to the Dashboard I'm reconnected with Xbox
Live but there are a few problems which M will be aware of. Also when I look at my friends avatars, it like a grey invisible avatar, on the Dashboard. My avatar still appears properly. On Xbox.com profile is having some problems. Friends and stuff are not
showing. When I make a post, it says oops that shouldn't have happened when you look at my gamerpic. XBL down on a weekend is kind of really bad.

 

I'm going on my computer and will check back on Xbox Live on my console and xbox.com every 30 minute interval. I'm sure and hope they get it fixed soon. I read an XBL down on here a few days ago think it affected Canada or something when everything in Australia/NZ
was fine.

 

I just wanted a go on Iron Banner on the Destiny beta but unfortunately can't get a game

 

Live is NOT down at this time..... Worked just fine all day for me.

 

^ Lives been screwy for two hours now. At first I could be on live just fine, but the friends list and party features were broke. Then Destiny started messing up. Now I can't access anything. Titanfall just wont go past the menu. Destiny sits in the tower
doing nothing. Nothing works for me. Never got to do the Moon event in Destiny

 

@Dante. Yeah, the timing really sucks!

 

So the Destiny beta is acting up It's a beta Live is NOT down.

 

Apparently, some users ARE experiencing issues at this time.
