Xbox Live internet speed

I have 2,69 Mbps download speed, 0,22 Mbps upload speed and 49 Ping and I would use wireless. Is that good enough to play online?

Xbox live on a 6mbs uverse connection?

The minimum internet speed required for playing with Xbox 360 is at least 1mbps download speed and 200 kbps upload speed for Xbox Live. So that should be enough

I don't think you would have any serious issues especially in the campaign part of the game.

it mostly depends on your ping which is fine

Where did you speedtest your Internet connection and what device did you use for this test?

Were you connected with an Ethernet cable, or wireless during this test?

I used my mobile phone, and just now did a speed test again and these are the results:

Speedtest.net - 1,17 Mbps download speed, 0,2 Mbps upload speed and 67 ms Ping

Bandwithplace - 0,96 Mbps download speed, 0,2 Mbps upload speed and 36 ms Ping

I was connected wireless and I was quite far from the router, as in this place my Xbox is. And also a PC and notebook were also connected to the internet.

Is it possible for your to run a speetest from your PC, wired directly to the router? If so, I would recommend that you try this method instead and post back with the results. Also, only have your PC running while you measure your bandwidth and test for
latency.

Alright, so I did the speedtest on PC while nothing else was connected to the internet and:

Speedtest.net - 2,96 Mbps download, 0,20 Mbps upload and 11 ms Ping

Bandiwthplace - 298 Mbps download, 0,21 Mbps upload and 33 ms Ping

Pingtest.net - 25 ms Ping, 5 ms Jitter

You could try connect wireless with your console, but, in your case, I would not recommend this connection type. If you're in the mood to try connect wireless, make sure to use one of the non-overlapping channels (1, 6, 11). That is if you use the 2.4 GHz
band on your wireless router.

And how good or bad do you think the performance would be while online gaming with these stats? I cant test it out, because I am considering buying a wireless adapter, but I want to make sure its worth it.

Are you using WiFi connection or wired connection to connect to Xbox Live?

Basically your download speed depends on your internet download speed.

It your internet is not a High Speed Internet service, it may take some time to finish your download. If you have a High Speed Internet, try using wired connection.

No, my xbox is connected to the router through a switch (a good one).

If I check the internet speed in both xbox and other devices by ookla speed test, xbox's internet is not as good as other devices but it is still fine.

But if I check my internet speed in the xbox internet statistics, xbox's internet has much worse internet than all other devices.

Maybe it is because the closest xbox live servers are far away from my location.

Let try this. Turn off your XBox.

It happen to my many time the internet get unstable an throw me off my game.

Reboot Cable modem & router;

sometimes internet provider slow down internet speeds during overloads.

Rebooting modem tells them to return your internet speed.

Check internet speed online.. Make sure it at where it should be.

Click the big XBox logo button..

Go to Settings

Go to General

Network Connection

Test Network Speed

Then go to Test Network Speed

XBox Live is up:

Turn on XBox after an 1hour to cool off.
