    I first purchased my xbox live monthly subscription in Dec 2015, to be renewed monthly for $9.99. In Feb 2016, I decided to change my subscription to renew every 3 months instead, at $24.99. What I noticed today, is that xbox Live has been treating this
    as TWO different purchases and automatically renewing them both. When I called today to correct the issue, they simply told me that in the "Terms of Agreement" it mentions you have to manually go back in and cut off the monthly subscription and that they would
    NOT refund me for the months they double charged.

    This is probably the most sketchy and worst business practice I have ever seen. A Tech company such as Microsoft, cannot build a system that determines someone is paying for THE EXACT SAME SERVICE twice? It is completely and utterly ridiculous that they
    are treating this as two different purchases and it is clearly done intentionally to double charge people. They are selling ONE SERVICE and one service only, just because I changed the renewal rate from 1 month to 3 months, I have to assume that they are going
    to take the idiotic approach to handling that and cancel one service before restarting the EXACT SAME SERVICE? To top it all off, when I call to correct the issue they wont even fix it and instead quote something out of the Terms of Agreement?? The worst customer
    service and by far the most sketchy business practice I have ever seen a company pull. I will never again deal with such a greedy and shady company.

    hello, does anyone know how to change the xbox live subscription for a year? i cant find this option. its charging me every month 11.99 but i want it to charge me a year. The only options i found on the xbox live website are to turn off auto renew and cancel

    Video games are friggin luxury and a privilege, not an obligation or entitlement.

    Who the hell cares what people do with their own money? Why would it bother you what someone does with or what they spend their money on?

    You children act like your little pathetic rants are going to change anyone's minds. The fact is that Xbox One will most likely double their unit movement and Xbox Live subscriptions.

    You'll have to get in contact with support again as that's not true.

    If you are on a monthly sub & then get a 3 month sub it shouldn't charge you for both,it should automatically switch to charging you monthly to 3 monthly.

    Shall have a look in the ToU later but to my knowledge what they said about manually cancelling the monthly sub isn't in there.

    so there's no other way to actually get anything from them? no contact email? I've been on hold AGAIN for 20 minutes and counting now without a hint of a person answering. the 'estimated time' was under 5 minutes.
