    Ever since this big storm passed through my area on Wednesday Xbox Live has not functioned properly. It'll say my internet is working but browsing EVERYTHING is incredibly slow and I keep getting loading errors, cannot connect to cloud messages. I've been
    trying to download Assassin's Creed Black Flag for free cause I have Gold and I let it sit all day the other day and still didn't even get to 50% install. I know it's a 20GB game but that should have taken an hour or 2 at the most and I left it for over 6
    hours. I tried to run my Kinect Sports Rivals demo and it said it needed an update and after waiting hours for just a 2GB or so update it only went up to 68 %. I can't launch apps like the Twitch app. This is not normal or the speed I've come to expect from
    Xbox Live. My internet is working. When I have the Xbox trying to download or update anything it brings my entire internet to a crawl. So not only is it incredibly slow it's hogging bandwidth at the same time which doesn't even make sense to me. If it's using
    so much bandwidth why is it so slow? On the main xbox network status it says everything's fine for nearly 2 full days now since some sort of generally acknowledged service interruption, but I haven't had normal XBOX Live use since Tuesday and it's now Friday.
    I'm almost completely convinced the problem is not on my end. One is on my wireless network and I have a fast broadband cable modem and connection, have tried resetting modem, etc There's independent sites that have live outage maps of Xbox live service and
    it looks like a large portion of the northeastern US where I'm at is still experiencing an outage. How about some acknowledgement from Microsoft about this and when is this going to be fixed? Going into a major holiday weekend in the summer and people don't
    have full functionality of their consoles. Is this being worked on and when will everyone's Live be working again?

    I'm not on AT&T, and XBox Live hasn't worked since Sunday. How does the southern telco issue pertain to New York/northeastern users?

    I don't know how to help you on this but i have problems too since downloading new update.. My machine is now incredibly slow and cannot connect to XBOX LIVE anymore

    Can I please get some sort of response from someone? It is now 7/12 and I am STILL having SERIOUS isssues using my console. Logging in, syncing to get into games I PAID for, my download speeds are still TERRIBLE and my console can't even perform the multiplayer
    test without an error. I paid for Gold and still haven't gotten Assassin's Creed past 30 percent after trying on and off since 7/1. I have a connnection capable of 100+mbps download and my xbox wirelessly connected to my network isn't pulling down more than
    200 megs or so an hour even though bandwidth usage will go up above 500 but never stays there for long. I'm trying to download more than 4-5 games I PAID for and it keeps stopping the download on one, switching to another, before even visibly making any progress
    with what it's trying to download.

    I fiddled with my network and settings for 5+ hours yesterday, and was online talking with support for 2 hours doing everything they told me to do. They said there was no outage in my area and finally told me to factory reset my console or send it in! But
    nothing was wrong with my Xbox 2-3 weeks ago! And I am NOT the only one having problems with Xbox Live! Go to downdetector and search Xbox Live, there are reports and comments from people across the US saying they've been having issues going back to late June/early
    July which is when the problems also started for me.

    I AM PAYING FOR GOLD, PURCHASED GAMES ONLINE, and at this rate it will take a WEEK or more to get them if I ever get them at all and not sure multiplayer will ever work with things like this yet Xbox website says everything's fine, everything is not fine!
    Can I get some help or advice! Some manner of compensation for all the trouble I've been through since end of June wouldn't be a stretch either!

    It is not your console. I am sure you have already powered down every thing (not REBOOT). It is your ISP. They are having an issue because of the flood. They slow everybody down until they can get their system fully functional. Give the a call... and (oh
    yea) reset all your settings back to default.

    You also have to realize the FCC has a lot of control of who and how much speed customers can have. That's why I switched to a satellite network.

    You also have to realize the FCC has a lot of control of who and how much speed customers can have. That's why I switched to a satellite network.
