Xbox Live Inbox Messages will not Sync with Xbox App on Win 10 1607

Having a sync issue with xbox live messages. Can view on android app...on beta app...cannot view any messages at all on the supplied installed version of the Public Release App (Ver 22.24.1006.00000).

Cannot send any messages to anyone via the app either!

Win 10 currently fully updated as of 13th December 2016. Have signed out of Xbox app from within the app...signed back in and no change.

Also signed out; diskclean up performed; signed back in....still the same!!!

Xbox app and xbox app beta crash on startup

As the title says both the Xbox app and Xbox app beta crash on startup with no error code, the app started crashing after i updated it. If it helps i am using a Surface pro 1st gen and am currently updating to windows 10 1607.

Sorry to hear about your messages. Have you checked your inbox on the Xbox phone app? Xbox PC app? or our website? If you have access to them there, it could be a matter of syncing up your account.

On the 360 (or 360 Smartglass app) any message in the inbox will be from the person who sent the message.

If you are using the Xbox App in Windows 10 (or the Xbox One Smartglass app), the messages show up as a conversation with the incoming message on the left, and the response from the receiving account on the right (typically in another color).
