Xbox Live has been having too many issues lately

I've been an Xbox Live subscriber for almost 10 years. I have always been a huge fan of Xbox and Xbox Live. Hopefully this post is in the right place, or can be placed there by a moderator if it isn't. I decided to hit the forums today because of a worrisome
trend I have noticed over the past few months. Basically, there have been far too many service outages and multiplayer/party chat issues. The awesome service I have been used to over the past 10 years has become an unreliable and frustrating burden lately.
It sucks because with the awesome multiplayer games that are out now for Xbox One, like Destiny and Master Chief Collection, far too often now I am simply unable to play with friends, or am unable to chat in party with them, or sometimes even unable to start
a party or connect to multiplayer at all. With other single-player games like Trials Fusion or Geometry Wars 3, I am often having problems accessing leaderboards and friends' times and scores. Each time, at least once or twice a week, I have run diagnostics
on my network and determined to have no problems, both with the diagnostics built into my Xbox and by troubleshooting my home network on other devices.

When my subscription runs out next year, I will now have to face a hard choice whether to keep paying for a service which has decreased in quality. I don't want to have to make that choice, I want to keep paying for an Xbox Live that delivers on reliability
as it had for the past 10 years. I want Xbox Live on Xbox One to be just as solid as it was on Xbox 360 and original Xbox. I do understand that service outages and problems in general are going to happen from time to time, but over the last few months it
has just been far too often, it seems to me, for a paid subscription service.

I want to stay a subscriber to Xbox Live! Unfortunately, I just won't be able to if the service continues to have problems so often.

now 3-4 people in my street are unable to connect to xbox live

Well I know Virgin cable and Virgin national have been having routing issues lately which has been affecting many sites including Microsoft. I'm on BT and I've had no issues with signing in or staying signed in, weird.

 

Xbox Preview Dashboard Not Loading

Same here since yesterday for me, and on the xbox live status page it doesn't report any problems with the app.

Anyway I'm having too many issues with the beta updates lately and I'm trying to get out of the "latest xbox experience program" and get back into the "current xbox experience program" but i can't do that without this app.

Has this issue seriously mot been fixed for like 2 weeks?

Very well put, and you came to the right place, If none of use rant and rave through these thread, our voice is nothing. I totally agree with you with the downgrade of the service compared to what it was on 360. Ive had the same problems since day one
for me (10/28/14) which isnt long, but long enough to get me frustrated enough to spend more time on this support forum than actually playing games online. I think they will give us a free month of service for our troubles which isnt even close to what they
should do. They can take all these crappy free indie games they keep trying to pass off as GOLD games, the free games are just to distract us from the service that is horrible. Its going to be hard for either company to refund anyone for anything, because
if Sony does something, than MS has to do the same or we will be protesting on the streets.

 

I am starting to get annoyed with the issues which seem to happen every week now on XBox Live. I logged in tonight to see what the sales were on XBox Live and the "More Deals" page came up empty with the words "No Items". Little issues like this seem to
happen all the time and all the XBox Live status page ever says is they are working on the issues and they are greatful for our patience. My patience has worn thin at this point. XBox Live has become way too unstable for a paid service. If the XBox Live team
can't get their house in order real quick I think I am done with the XBox product line very soon.

XBox Live team, get live back in a stable state and let's have issues to a minimum like it used to be.

I signed up to be an ambassador years ago. Things have changed a lot since then. If there is an easy way to opt out of being an ambassador I am all for that.

 

You only need to private message one of the moderators running the programme.

Concerning your issue, xbox live doesn`t have any issues currently.

The thread you dug up is several weeks old.

 

I know the thread is a few weeks old, but the issue is still valid. I just checked and there are still issues on the XBox Live status page and the issue I mentioned is still there. There have been various features of XBox live out of service off and on for
weeks now. I will look into contacting one of the moderators of the Ambassador program.

What the eff is going on with XBL lately, particularly today.I swear since "next-gen" hit the market, it has been a cluster-eff of problems left and right, both with MS and Sony.You'd think that the experience would be light years better than it was last
gen, but I guess logic doesn't work in his case...

 

We'll have to agree now my gamer score has gone to zero for no reason no restrictions according to xbox live support but yet no help either was about to buy xbox one but after spending 10yrs getting a gamer score over 102.000 then it gets a bit demoralising
ps4 here we come

 

Oh hey! Xbox Live is down on Xbox One!... Again. (The second time I've counted this month.)

On another note, I've had my Xbox One for close to a year and until recently I had Xbox Live on 360 since 2010 (but I had a 360 long before that). And up until the past 4 to 6 months, NEVER have I seen such an unstable, unreliable service. Not a week has
gone by since where I didn't have issues either signing in, starting a party, listening to friends in a party, or even playing a game of multiplayer! This is especially troubling in a console generation that is so internet-centric, where some games basically
require you have wi-fi (including a reliable Xbox Live service). As an avid fan of Xbox (and Microsoft in general), I'm hoping that they fix this new habit of theirs and I'm confident they will soon, but if they don't, I'll [un]gladly refund my Xbox One and
cancel my subscription while I still can. This is just getting ridiculous.

 

So as of the moment im writing this xbox live is down and people are unable to sign in. I can only agree with what everyone has said on this forum xbox is seriously *** up. It seems like every other week something is wrong. The biggest issue to me is that
its a paid service. We pay the fee every year for xbox live and it doesnt even work half the time. I hope that xbox will do something to make this right most likely a free month of gold if anything. It so annoying to want to play and then see thats there is
another issue. I'm seriously considering dropping xbox live. At this point I might as well since it never works anyway.

 

Yep I couldn't sign in. I've had Xbox for years back to the old first level and its never been so bad. If I talk to support they try to blow it off on my internet speed. I have DSL which is the best I can get at this time. Why build a console that requires
next to fiber-optic speed. The new games are great when they work but I am at about 90% in Unity and have heard two players on head set. This is not working for me. And what if you go to ps4, wouldn't be the same. I would think you would still have to pay
for live. Gaming has changed and its just not as fun playing alone anymore. But its way to frustrating.
