    Xbox Live Hacked


    So I was playing COD MW3 and a guy was clearly hacking in the game so I messaged him why cheat. He replied "You want to go offline", I said why not and he proceeded to take my console offline forcing me to hard power off and back on again and sent me a
    message with both my IP address and my broadband provider.

    Clearly this is not OK. There are now lots of hackers and I've paid for both the game and an annual subscription of Live for the last 13 years. To be honest I expect better.

    What is being done about these hackers?

    If you haven't done so already, you would need to file a complaint on him via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate him and take action. What he's doing is not actually hacking, it's called a denial of service attack and is done through
    your internet, not Live. So you would want to contact your ISP as well if this happens again.
