Xbox Live Gold

One question to microsoft. Why are you forcing people to get gold to fully enjoy games like Warframe, DCU Online and other free 2 play games? On PS4 and PC people can play this games without cr*p like gold or ps+(trading, playing with other gamers). Only
platform that requires membership to fully enjoy these games is Sh*tBox. Even on Nintendo Warframe will be fully avaiable without some silly membership. Stop beign greedy.

Hi! For all that Live's signature offers, the amount paid for it is more advantages than simply "greed." Try to analyze things by the big picture.

 

You don't need Xbox Live Gold to play online on PC, it's all free, on PS4 You don't need Ps Plus If you're going to play games Free to play, but You need Live Gold If You wanna play online on Xbox One, maybe the only game You don't Live Gold is Smite, at
least It used to be.

 

Your opinion, I'd like to say that those free to play games require you to be able to play online with others, hence the need for a gold subscription.

 

The gold subscription allows for maintain the service and the quality only xbox live offers

Please don't abuse the forums to rant. Monies from Gold subscriptions help pave the future of, and maintenance of, the platform and servers. Having a membership has its benefits, such as Games with Gold, which pays for itself.

I'm sorry you feel that way but its a premium service. You get dedicated servers, security, the ability to play online with those around the world, games with gold each month, access to gold only sales, and more.

as others have said the gold subscription fee mainly goes into server maintenance, at last check microsoft had a little over 300,000 dedicated servers that supply xbox live which is far more than sony and nintendo have this is why you need to have xbox live
gold to play games online including F2P.

And the membership gets you upto 4 free games per month and exclusive deals and discounts throughout each month for other games and add ons.

On a side note if you shop around for a 12 month membership you can usually pick it up for 25-50% less than microsoft advertise it for on your console.

 

You will need Live Gold If you want to play online on Xbox Live with your friends on Xbox, but You don't need It on PC, on PS4 You don't need It If You are going to play games Free To Play.

 

Is a pretext to say that thanks to that they give maintenance to the servers, you have quality of the servers as such, you have benefits of exclusive offers and that they give you a quality service, things like that. One of my complains is that it should
be cheaper, like reduce the 40 - 50% less of the price to get this service.

 

If you are having issues with the Xbox, Microsoft and service offerings from the company and value a PS4 or Playstation experience more it may be best-suited for you to purchase another console. Is there a reason you decided to purchase an Xbox knowing this?
