    Xbox Live Gold & Xbox Game Pass - expired codes


    My Xbox Live Ultimate account is about to expire, and I've recently purchased the limited edition Gears 5 controller, which had a card with codes for both 14 days of Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass, so I was keen on redeeming that once my account expires.
    However, I noticed the codes were only valid until 30/06/2019, despite the game and controller having only been released in September 2019! It's quite a fault to offer expired codes, despite Microsoft having no obligation to give the codes at all, but given
    someone went to the trouble of putting the codes in there, at least they should have a proper expiry date. Is it possible to get some codes which aren't expired?

    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate    . Smwutches is correct in stating that the prepaid code will convert from 6 months of Xbox Live Gold to 79 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Smwutches is also correct in stating that you will need to redeem the prepaid code for Xbox
    Live Gold after your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription expires in order to get the full amount of Xbox Live Gold time from the prepaid code. We hope this information helps!

    To go back to Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Only you would need to Cancel Auto Renewal on Ultimate Game Pass let it Expire and then Re-Subscribe to Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass.

    When Canceling a Gold, Game Pass, or Ultimate Game pass any remaining time will stay until it has expired. In the case of The ultimate since it converts your remaining Gold to Ultimate once your "expires on" date is over it will return to non-gold without
    gamepass. At that point if you choose to only have Gold just add Xbox Live gold prepaid codes or a Credit card for monthly.
