Xbox Live Gold - Wrong Region

So, I bought for my little brother - 12 months Xbox Live Gold from cdkeys and after I have tried to redeem the code through the Xbox and through the pc (Microsoft Web), I received the
same error: "Contact the seller to get a code that works in your region". I tried to change the region of the Xbox to the US (I'm from Israel) but it didn't work. I made sure that the code is worldwide and after I contacted
cdkeys support they told that they can see that the code is unused and if on the Xbox itself it's not working (redeeming the code), I should contact XBOX support. Please help me fixing this ASAP

I suggest contacting the place you bought it from and ask for a refund and not to buy from there again. It does say here https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/countries that
you should be able to buy xbox live gold in the your region from a more trusted retailer.

Thank you for your answer, all over the years I bought the XBOX Live GOLD from different sites so I decided to do it this time too(It's cheaper). I hope I will be able to fix this or get a refund.

I don't suggest buying them xbox live keys from cdkeys due to problems like this I suggest buying them from proper retails. All xbox live gold keys are now regional locked so you do have to buy them from a local retailler, I cannot remember if xbox live
is available in Israel but will double check
