Xbox Live Gold unable to play online.

Hi, I bought Xbox live gold last night at 6:45 Pm, but I can't play online. My account tells me I have bought it and am subscribed to the service, I can even download the free games. So far I have deleted my account, added it again, cleared the cache, checked
the network, restarted the console, and all of them at once, but nothing is working. I can't even contact Xbox chat line and am currently on hold with the Xbox toll-free line. I need help.

Unable to play online

Unable to play online, there are 5 different accounts on the entertainment xbox and which all 5 are unable to play any games online. Microsoft and Xbox live is so broken, what kind of "experience" is this? No one able to play, and money put into xbox live
gold to play "online" yet this happens. Amazing, well done!

I have just bought xbox live online. But i am unable to play online on the xbox. The xbox carries on saying i need to upgrade to gold. but i just have :S.

Xbox Live Gold is ONLY required for playing online Multiplayer, participating in parties and getting and playing the free Games with Gold games.

If you purchased a game digitally, you can download that without a Gold membership. You'll just be unable to play the online multiplayer part (if the game has online Multiplayer).

Hey Mossy -

Can you double check that your account has an active Xbox Live Gold subscription? Xbox Live Gold is needed to use many of the features of the Xbox 360 online so if you do not currently have Gold, that would be why you are unable to play online.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this inquiry. I understand you're Xbox Live Gold subscription has expired and you're wondering why you are unable to play Fortnite multiplayer online. The reason for that is that the Xbox Live Gold subscription
is what gives you access to play online multiplayer from your Xbox One. You would have to renew you're subscription to access the online features of the game. Hope this information helps

Xbox live silver is the basic account level you receive apon creating an account. However you will be unable to play online multiplayer or join Xbox live party chat sessions.

You still need a Xbox Live Gold account to play online, EA games or not. EA online pass codes are included in new EA games to allow you purchase extra online content, it doesn't allow you play online on Live without a Gold account.
