xbox live gold trial

I applied the code that came with th econsole but I dont see me as GOLD and I cant use the code anymore. what can I do?

New to XB1

First time poster and first time xbox user so go easy on me....

Just traded in my PS3 at best buy and got xbox loaded up and playing halo for the first time...it's so so will pick up BF4 later on today.

I have a 14 day free trial for xbox live gold which I am using, should I be able to take advantage of the free ea access trial this week and be able to download and play their games for a few days?

Once the free trial is over for xbox live gold I'm assuming I will need to purchase an xbox live subscription, is xbox live gold the only option? I can't find any information online about anything other than the gold subscription so am a little confused, why there would be a gold option but no bronze/silver/platinum/diamond etc?

 

Trials don't show you as gold.They give you access to some gold features,not all of them but you will remain as a silver on your profile.

 

I have inserted my product 14 day trial code.

Nowhere does it tell me that I can activate any Gold content. Where do I go?

Also then, when I try to buy the Gold 1 month package, it give me an error, that is not recognized by the error messages on this site.

I have tried to buy it 3 times?

Will the 14 day trial prevent me from buying a 1 month package?

 

As stated above, trials do not change your account status to gold. So there are certain things that you won't be able to do if you don't have a full gold subscription.

Having a trial will not prevent you from purchasing gold. You would need to try contacting support to see if they can assist you with the purchase. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or

I got it trials do not change your account status to gold however,

When I got the 30 days trial, for a very short amount of time

- I saw in my xbox account that I actually subscribed for gold

- I received an email from microsoft confirming I purchased gold

- When I opened the get gold now tab, it directed me automatically to a page where I was able to download one "free for gold" game (at least I managed to have it queued).

However, probably an hour later,

- My account no longer showed my gold subscription

- The same tab where I was able to download the game started asking me for payment (including the 30 days trial)

- I was never able to go live for fifa or GTA

So, can someone please tell me if this is normal and if it is normal what am I supposed to try during the trial period? Otherwise help me with how I can restore my gold membership?

This I believe is related to my general problem of not being able to buy anything online due to the error messages which states that "Your purchase can't be completed with this payment option. Try a different or new way to pay.". I was told that this is
related to billing info and location of the account being in different regions but its not the case, although I am phisically in a different region now.

Then again this does not explain how I managed to get gold for one hour. Thanks for your help.
