Xbox Live Gold trial still can't make me play multiplayer with others online

I used my one-month xbox live gold trial recently, but I still can't play multiplayer online. I have tried multiple games. I tried Forza Horizon 3 and NBA2k17. They all said I don't have privilidge.

My gold is going to expired soon and I still haven't played online yet.

Can't access mulitiplayer

I bought my xbox one x today, and i can't play any multiplayer games online. It says my account doesn't have multiplayer priviliges. I redeemed the 14 day trial for xbox live gold and bought a month. But i still can't play online? what can i do? my settings
are set to allow multiplayer, and i'm using an adult account.

Xbox Live Gold membership is needed for playing multiplayer with others online. It is not necessary for splitscreen or system-link.

Xbox Live Gold requires you to pay to play with others online, yes. Xbox Live Silver is free. Silver lets you download and use the xbox marketplace, but you will not be able to play with others online.

MW3 multiplayer like most Xbox Live multiplayer games requires a Gold account to be played online. You can create a new account and have a free 30 day trial of Xbox live gold if you wish to trial the service. you can still play local (splitscreen) and
LAN games without a gold account but for matchmaking or internet based games, a gold account is required.

I can't play online multiplayer, and on the dashboard's homepage I see the large "Try Gold" advertisement.

On my xbox 360 i had activated several xbox live gold trials. I played online with these for sure.

Hello there,

The online multiplayer is a feature limited only for Xbox Live Gold user on Xbox Consoles. If you are playing on PC you don't need gold at all for online multiplayer.

Please note that Free Xbox Live trials are often included with new consoles and will allow you to play online.
