XBOX Live gold trial ... and free games

I have just bought an xbox one in Hong Kong. It came with an XBOX LIVE trial for 14 days, which I have just started yesterday.

There were two free games in July. 'Many Me' which I have downloaded and there was another featured one ... Assassin Creed Black Flag. And that is the problem, I cannot seem to download it and wants to charge me.

What is going on here?

I got gold and cant get free gold games

Gold trials do not change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. You need a full gold subscription in order to download the free games.

Then how come I can get "Many Me" for free? I have it download and it is playable.

Also, Black Flag was only free until the 15th. So it is no longer free anyway. (Sorry, it was late last night so I didn't comprehend that part of your post).
