Xbox Live Gold to play Multiplayer.. worked fine the other day

if you mean xbox live gold to play multiplayer yes i do i pay it yearly and i know its working as my other multiplayer games work

You need an Xbox Gold Subscription to play BLOPS2 multiplayer. Those games (if you bought it new) came with a 2 day trial, that will not always work with other multiplayer games. You need to purchase a subscription to play is what that message means.

If by "mini games" you mean "play multiplayer", then yes, you will need an active Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to connect to other players' servers.

Yes it is as I think you can play multiplayer without Xbox gold or ultimate if you're running xcloud as I played both multiplayer and co op on sniper elite 4 and played multiplayer marches in destiny 2 & I was never asked for gold or ultimate however if
you don't own a game that you got with gold ir game pass like hitman 2016 then you'll only be able to play the free version of that game but all other games should work fine

Most likely you are trying to play a multiplayer game. All multiplayer games require a Gold Membership and unfortunately until you get a Gold Membership multiplayer is not an option for you. Single player games will work just fine, however to play any multiplayer
game and to maximize your XBOX Live experience a Gold Membership is the best way to go....There are so many perks that a Gold member has access to that a Silver member does not.....but that does not mean that a Silver member cannot have as much fun as a Gold
