xbox live gold subscription Rocket League game deal

I bought Xbox live gold recently and it was during a promotion during which it said if you bought Xbox live you would receive a code for the game rocket league on the Xbox one, but I have not received any code or heard about it any further. It said it would
take some time to process, so i thought i would give it some time. It said it would be sent via email after the purchase was processed.

I have a problem whit rocket league

i have rocket league (digital download) and i have a xbox live gold but rocket league can't find my subscription. Help my please

According to the Official Rocket League website
HERE which clarifies the terms of the promotion.

"Speaking of Xbox One, anyone who purchases a three-month Xbox Live Gold subscription card from June 12 through June 30 will receive a FREE copy of Rocket League!

If you buy a physical subscription card at a local retailer, your Rocket League code will be printed on your receipt, and can be attached to any Xbox Live account that does not already own the game. (Update: Offer only available for a limited time
at participating retailers in select countries; see retailers for details.) If you're new to the game or Xbox Live Gold or have a friend who's in the market for either one, now's a great time to take the shot!"

This would indicate that you needed to purchase a 3 Month Xbox Live Card either at the retailer or through the Xbox Dashboard advertisement for this promotion to be eligible. To clarify, where, how and when did you purchase the Xbox Live subscription? If
you did purchase a 3 month subscription through the console ad, you'd receive a code in your Xbox Live Message center by July 31st. Otherwise, you may need to speak with the retailer where you bought it.

I purchased the Xbox Live Gold subscription through the Xbox Dashboard advertisement, I guess in the fine print it must have said it had to be a 3 month subscription somewhere but it took me to a page to choose from either the 3, 6, or 12 month subscription.
Since the advertisement on the dashboard had said you get a free copy of Rocket League with the purchase of an xbox live gold membership, I guess I had thought there wouldn't be a limiting factor to where i had to buy the 3 month subscription to get the game.
Through the advertisement there was no indication that it had to be the 3 month when i got to the purchase screen, so like i said, i guess i assumed i could get the 12 month and everything would be okay. Thank you for your time and clarification!
