Xbox Live Gold subscription expired too early

I purchased a 12 month xbox live subscription (applying a x25 digit code) one month ago, redeemed the code and have been using the account since, and today I see my subscription has expired on my microsoft account. I can't see on microsoft's website how
to speak to a person to resolve this, please can anyone help? Thanks

How to Turn off auto renewal or cancel Xbox LIVE membership

How to turn off auto renewal

It is recommended that you cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership using the option of turning off automatic renewal. If auto renewal is "off", your membership will expire at the end of its current term.

Steps to follow:

1) If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the upper right hand corner and sign in using your Microsoft account.

2) Proceed to My Account.

3) Click Change next to automatic renewal. Change the setting to OFF

You will be able to continue enjoying all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership until your paid membership time expires.

Note:

If you want to cancel or disable your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership immediately, you should contact Xbox support. Use the Request a Call from Support option on the official Xbox Contact Us page. Your account cannot be canceled through chat or email.

If you disable your account immediately, you will lose the time remaining on your membership subscription.

If you are on a 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract, and you want to cancel before the end of the 2 years, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and other applicable taxes. Once the two-year agreement period is over, your account will not be renewed automatically.

You can cancel the 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract using the option of self-cancel your subscription on Xbox.com

I would check your Order History To make sure it was a code for 12 Months and Not just 1 month. Then I would reach out to Xbox
support To see if they can help you there.

Hopefully they can see what happened and resolve the issue.

Thanks, I have the actual card I purchased in store which clearly shows it as a 12 month subscription. The link you've provided me doesn't allow me to talk to a human to resolve this - I keep getting a virtual assistant who isn't any use to sort. Is there
a UK number I can call do you know?

If you click no thanks to the virtual assistant it should give you other options for contacting support. You should be able to chat or request a csll back. Otherwise, the UK support number is 08005871102

I have the same issue. My xbox gold was a year subscription, and it was started last Christmas. it has expired already, and I was wondering if anyone knew what to do because I don't want to buy another one early and I don't want to lose my cloud stuff.
