Xbox live gold subscription cancelled for no reason

I was trying to download Dungeon Defenders this morning since it's the Games with gold title for the 2nd half of March. I got an error that I was unable to download it and then a few minutes later I received an e-mail stating my gold account has been cancelled.
I never cancelled this subscription.

In fact I had redeemed a few codes in November bringing my expiration to September 2015. I tried phone support but that was useless and I got disconnected.

I need my gold subscription re-established as soon as possible.

Yeah, unless something has changed recently, you get to keep your Xbox 360 gold games.

But the Xbox One gold games you need to have an active subscription.

How to turn off auto renewal

It is recommended that you cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership using the option of turning off automatic renewal. If auto renewal is "off", your membership will expire at the end of its current term.

Steps to follow:

1) If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the upper right hand corner and sign in using your Microsoft account.

2) Proceed to My Account.

3) Click Change next to automatic renewal. Change the setting to OFF

You will be able to continue enjoying all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership until your paid membership time expires.

Note:

If you want to cancel or disable your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership immediately, you should contact Xbox support. Use the Request a Call from Support option on the official Xbox Contact Us page. Your account cannot be canceled through chat or email.

If you disable your account immediately, you will lose the time remaining on your membership subscription.

If you are on a 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract, and you want to cancel before the end of the 2 years, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and other applicable taxes. Once the two-year agreement period is over, your account will not be renewed automatically.

You can cancel the 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract using the option of self-cancel your subscription on Xbox.com

 

This is something that can only be fixed by calling Xbox Support by phone, please call them again and they should hopefully be able to figure out what is going on with your account.

 

hey man I had the same problem at same time just like you!! my gold account has been misteriously cancelled yesterday... i had more 10 mounths remaing.....

Yes... I received an official e-mail from *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** with information saying my account has been CANCELLED.

But I didnt it!

In my credit card history JAN/2014 has a U$ 49,99 debit for 12 mounths Gold Member, but i used only 2 mounths.. my subscription is programed to expiration at DEC/2014.

My issue has been resolved. I had to go through Phone support as suggested but it's all good now.

 

Here in Brazil, even calling for support, my problem was not resolved. Asked to wait until next Friday.

Me too have trouble with my gold subscription. It was cancelled not by me.

So i resolved this problem contacting the support by chat.

In US and Brazil, the phone number support is out!! >.<

But by online chat it's ok!

The support guy sent to me by e-mail a prepaid code with my time gold remaining (10 months).

Try you too contact the support because I got the sollution by it.
