Xbox Live Gold Sharing

I have 2 Xbox One consoles. My account is on both. My One X is set as the home console. My nephew uses my account on the other console to play fortnite so i created a new account so we dont keep signing each other out. My issue is that the new account
on the home console isnt receiving the gold benefits like it should when my profile is signed out while my nephew is playing fortnite. What do i do?

The home console will need to be set to the one your nephew is using. Please make sure to sign in your profile on that console and follow the article :

Why would that be? My secondary account is on the One X. Wouldnt it need to be on the home console?

 

Ok so whatever console you want to use the account that does not have the gold would have to be set as the home console. OR have the profile that has the gold on it signed in at the same time.

home console. If it is, try performing a
power cycle (as it may be taking a little while to update).

 

You can not have the same account to share between two consoles. You have to create a different account and then it will work.

Since your Xbox One X is the home console that's the one that your nephew should be using to get the benefits. I know you mentioned having two console's and I want to just clarify that one little thing since it does make a difference.

Since Xbox one X is the home console that's were all the benefits are for your nephew to sign in with the account you guys made for him to play Fortnite.

Thank you for your help. It was a case of confusion on my side where i thought my xbox was set as my home console on my main account, but it wasn’t. I set it and the issue was resolved
