Xbox live gold sharing doesn't work

Sorry to hear you are running into this problem. When you are using the Xbox game sharing features you will be able share the subscription to the other accounts so that they can get access the Xbox live services and play online.

Are you trying to get the Games with Gold through your daughters account? This won't be possible as her account does not own the Subscription. What you would have to do is go through Your account, get the game for free through the games with gold, and once
you have downloaded the game onto the console she should have access to the game but she won't actually own the license. If it is that you do want the game to be owned under her account, then at that point her account would need to have the Gold subscription.

It depends what is it you are trying to do with the account. The home Xbox setting only gives her access to gold features, like party chat, multiplayer, etc, etc. She will not get access to deals with gold or games with gold, because the account does not
actually have gold. So the account that has gold has to get them games or deals first before your daughter can access them.

If only one account has gold then that account can get onto xbox live on any console regardless of the "my home xbox" feature.

Xbox live sharing does not work on xbox 360, so you will need more subscriptions for each other account that doesn't have gold.

On the xbox one the my home xbox feature will share xbox live gold and digital games (not all DLC) to all other accounts on that console when the account with gold is the "my home xbox" account but that does not share to backwards compatible games on xbox
one.

Your friend is making a transfer with someone else to get the xbox Live Gold but he already has the Xbox gamepass on his account. Here is the reason why you have the xbox gamepass and not the xbox live gold

Home console

Since you are able to take advantage of the Gold sharing features on your oldest brother's Xbox One console, this would then mean that he has a Gold subscription and with his console set at Home.

According to your profile, it doesn't seem to be tied to Gold subscription.
