Xbox Live Gold Renewal Recognition

This is a follow up to a question I had earlier. I was unable to continue the discussion as the thread was locked (this is the thread:

https://forums.xbox.com/en-US/thread/4258a5ab-c973-40bf-bee5-0460e2665694). I was advised that my Xbox Live Gold renewal has been recognized however I checked this morning and it now says I am only earnings 4% MyVIP rewards but I could earn 8% if I purchase
an Xbox Live Gold subscription. Clearly it has not been recognized. Can someone please look into this.

Xbox Live Gold Renewal Recognition

Hi,

I was wondering how long it takes for Xbox Live Rewards to recognize the fact my Xbox Live Gold subscription has been renewed. My subscription was originally set to expire December 6, 2016 but on November 24 I added another year with a prepaid code. The
MyVIP section of my rewards page is still telling me that I should renew to avoid losing my gold status. I assumed it would recognize the renewal within 96 hours the way it recognizes purchases. Any insight would be appreciated.

You are correct that it takes us 96 hours to recognize a renewal. I see that we have received your new subscription information, and you are correctly being recognized as Gold again.

We see that you are again being recognized for Gold. It looks like since your subscription "ended" around the 6th, we were seeing your previous subscription when we told you that you were being designated as a Gold member. In the interim 96 hour period where
we were loading your renewal information, you were briefly displayed as a free member. Apologies for the confusion.

 

Thanks for the response. This won't affect my eligibility for the 8%, right? I know it says I have to be gold the entire month, which I am, but I just want to be sure the glitch won't cause a problem. Thanks again.
