    Do you get an error code at all? Have you tried purchasing it via xbox.com?

    It"s not a proper error code though, does it look like this?

    Try that again Something went wrong on our end. Waiting a bit might help.

    I've tried waiting a couple hours and this still happens, hard resetting by unplugging my Xbox it has done nothing as well.

    Ive been having the same problem for 3 months. It started as soon as I turned auto-renawal of my xbox live account to OFF. I could not sign in, even tho the connection test said everything was fine. I decided to delete and recover my account but then
    it said 'xbox signup services not available' . after the update i checked today, and now it gives the error code 800704DC and profile cannot be downloaded. i checked all my payment card details on website and even added points, and everything on the website
    works fine. let me know if anyone has a solution. I havent used my xbox in 3 months, as I dont want to play games and not get achievments.

    If you mean xbox live gold yes....because xbox live is the xbox online service platform and xbox live gold is the subscription, and non gold subscribers are still connected to xbox live always.
