    i have just recently bought another 12 months xbox live gold membership, i typed in the code, at first it said theres an error on their side and said to wait a bit, ive waited 3 hours tried it again, the same **** happened again, what the ****, its starting
    to piss me off, any one got any ideas why or any solutions?

    I have the same problem, i haven been trying for 2 days now, still not been able to activate the code. The retailler already verified the that the code is valid and should be redemable. Lets hope they find the solution to this fast.

    I can't launch free with gold games

    When you try to access Games with Gold, make sure you're using the gamertag that has the Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. If you redeemed a promotional Xbox Live Gold code as
    part of your subscription, you won't be eligible for Games with Gold. If you used a prepaid code to sign up for Xbox Live Gold, make sure it was successfully redeemed.

    Did you redeem the code on the Xbox 360 console? If you did, I would suggest redeeming the code on your computer.

    You can redeem all types of prepaid codes, including Xbox gift cards, Xbox Live gold cards, and Xbox Music Pass cards, on a computer and have them applied to your account immediately. Here’s how:

    1. Go to www.xbox.com

    2. Sign in

    3. Go to the "Xbox Live Gold" tab and click "Redeem Code"

    That's it! Your Gold membership will be applied instantly.

    You are able to purchase Xbox Live Gold through several options

    - You can purchase a subscription directly through your xbox with a credit card

    - You can purchase pre-paid cards that come with codes you can enter through the Xbox guide menu.

    To enter a code from a pre-paid card, press the Guide button on your controller, go left to Games and Apps, and scroll down and select Redeem Code, you can then enter your code and you should be golden!

    I don't know if anyone else already posted the solution to this, but a friend had the same issue with the same error. The problem was, he was trying to redeem a code over a trial gold. Live Gold and Gold Trial, doesn't mix up, that's why the solution is
    to let the gold subsciption end and then redeem the code. So if you have a Live Gold and try to redeem a Trial code (like the one included with the xbox) or the other way around, it won't work.
