Xbox Live Gold Promotion? ($1 for 1 Month)

So to be clear, I do this, and its $1 for the 1st month ONLY, and after that is done, it auto-renews for $9.99 (why not just put $10, even it out instead of leaving out a penny?); or is it always $1 forever as long as I take this promition that is happening
at the moment?

Have you had Xbox Live Gold on your account before? I believe this promotion is only for new customers. So unless, you are brand new to Xbox Live, it won't work for you.

The limited offer for the xbox live gold 1 month for 1$ isnt working for me, its been about half a month it tells me when i confirm to pay. Here's what it says : ( Impossible to connect to Xbox Live. You must try later ---- to subscribe later, go to settings,
account and choose a subscription level change

It always gets stuck here and can't buy any gold anymore, whats the issue to this problem?

If you're looking to get some sort of promotions for months of gold take a look at the active promotions available on XBOX Live.

EPIX Free Month of XBOX Live Gold

IGN Free Month of XBOX Live Gold

Both require you to have a credit card attached to your account.

There are also a couple of dashboard deals that you can try out (they show up on your XBOX 360 Dashboard from time to time) $1 for 1 month or $2 for 2 months.

We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:
