Xbox Live Gold Prepaid Code Not Working

Hey.. Is it normal when i enter my Prepaid code for 1 month Xbox Live Membership it just says :

Something went wrong

Gold subscription does not except prepaid cards.edit

I have used prepaid visa/mastercards in the past and they have worked. I never tried for a gold sub though because I would never pay full retail price for a gold sub

Doesn't trust banks or credit card companies. Tries to use their pre-paid cards.

I fear for this person's future when they try to buy a house with no credit. Maybe they are rich and will just buy it out right with their mattress money.

As for a solution to your problem, use your prepaid card from a company you don't trust to buy a 12-month or 3-month Xbox Live Gold card from the store.

Remeeming errors are usually caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check your billing information at
http://billing.microsoft.com and
http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues. After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

Also check that account, console and code all have the same region selected, using different regions van cause issues like this one.
