    Xbox live gold possibly getting cancelled.


    I was going through a Forbes article that said it is likely that xbox live gold can be entirely killed as Halo infinite will become a free online multiplayer and xbox game pass and xbox game pass ultimate will become the norm. My question is that I have a 12 month xbox live gold subscription code with me yet to be redeemed.


    1. If I redeem it now, I will be getting the xbox live gold services up until xbox brings the changes to their services and what will happen to the remaining months in the subscription ?


    2. If I redeem it after the changes have been made will the code be valid and will xbox convert by subscription to game pass of equal value?

    While you can cancel your Gold membership, deleting an account from Xbox LIVE is currently not possible.

    Thanks for posting here on the Xbox forums. As stated above, the Gamepass ultimate is directly tied to your Xbox live gold. Since you cancelled gamepass, your gold was cancelled along with it. I highly recommend
    contacting a live support agent to look over any possible options.
