I recently had a transaction on my paypal appear to go through my bank. unfortunately i had insufficient funds to pay for the transaction and was hit with a fee from my bank. i cancelled the subscription however days
later was hit with a retry payment fee again. I'm confused as to what's going on because paypal says the transaction was paid. I'm assuming it was not paid? I added a credit card to my microsoft account and figured they would attempt an alternative method
of payment. Just trying to figure out if this is on paypals end or not. Anyone have an experience like this?

You may go into arrears with PayPal. That's generally how it works.

Thanks for keeping us updated. When a subscription is already pending, it will continue to try and get the payment multiple times after the first charge. Usually 3-5 within a month. Your best option in this would be to request a call from support as Parity
mentioned.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----select Xbox One
Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
Step 3-----select show contact options

Step 4 ----select request call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

Step 2 ----Select See other options

Step 3 ----Select topic (Ex. System Update)

Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"

Step 5 ----Select request a call from support

This happened to me before when buying a game, paypal took the money out of my account but Microsoft said it never went through so it shouldn't of came out, please speak to the support team listed above & see what they say. If it's Paypal's fault it will
be best to go straight to your bank!

Like I said I had insufficient funds and the first transaction didn't appear to go through, paypal says it was paid but my bank account says "item was returned due to insufficient funds". On microsoft it also says paid. I'm just so confused as to what
is going on because my bank balance says no but both microsoft and paypal say yes. Incredibly confused. I'll go to the bank later and figure it out but I have no money to pay the overdraft fee now.
