Xbox live gold owned but not working correctly

I currently own Xbox live gold and can check this on both my profile on my Xbox and online in my Microsoft account. I have access to the Xbox live gold deals and tested this by downloading one of the free games. However whenever
I attempt to use party features or play any of my online games Xbox asks for me to purchase Xbox live gold. I have tried restarting my Xbox multiple times and removing and re-adding my profile onto my Xbox but nothing has worked. If someone could help me with
this it would be greatly appreciated.

I just purchased an Xbox live gold membership and it is not working correctly, I can use the apps and everything ok but when I go to send a friend a party invite or chat options it says I need a gold membership to continue

Hey there Eddie! Apologies to hear that IE is not working properly. Why was it not working correctly for you? Was it not launching or saying you need an Xbox LIVE Gold Subscription in order to play this app? Did you receive any status codes or error
messages? Thanks!

Hi Madoldron. If I am understanding correctly, Xbox Live Gold is account specific, therefore each account on your console must pay for its own membership for that account to use the Gold features.

remove your profile from your console and add it again to get a profile refresh done.

Gold gives you the ability to play online multiplayer. It gives you weekly discounts on games (Deals with Gold) and access to free games through Games with Gold. Any other games would only be accessible if you pay for them or you have a Game Pass subscription
or EA Access subscription (for Battlefront).

The word "gold" is next to your gamertag because you own Xbox live gold, if it is there and you don't own Xbox live gold, please contact support.
