    So I forgot to renew my xbox live gold subscription and I always paid it with my microsoft account balance but there wasnt enough on it to renew it for another year. I went out and bought some prepaid cards and now i should have enough money on it, to
    pay for the renewal for 1 year, but it seems like I cant pay it with that anymore, because the site wants a credit or debit card or paypal instead. Can I somehow pay with my (now high enough) microsoft account balance or do I have to set up another way to
    pay for it?

    If you have overdue charges you need to pay them before you can use a new xbox live gold code.

    It was set to auto-renew but couldnt due to the expired card. How are are there any overdue charges as it couldnt renew the subscription.

    hi there I don't think you can pay your overdue balance with Microsoft fund you may need to pay another way.

    Unfortunately you are not able to use Microsoft credit to pay for subscriptions. You can only purchase Live Gold using a credit/Debit card or Paypal.
