Xbox live gold only works for Xbox one not Xbox 360

A couple of months ago I added a continuous payment of Xbox live gold. I had a Xbox one and a Xbox 360 but I played on the one mostly. For years since the slim xbox came out, i had used gold on the 360. Once it ran out, I added gold on the Xbox one and assumed
it would carry over onto my 360 account but it did not. It still says silver. Thank You.

Share Xbox Live Gold from Xbox One to Xbox 360: is this possible?

Hi.

Is it possible to share an Xbox Live Gold with my kids on an Xbox 360? I purchased a 12 month Live Gold membership on the Xbox One. Family sharing works fine on the Xbox One, but on the Xbox 360 only I have Live Gold and my kids do not. I have tried
looking in the account settings but haven't been able to find anything to enable sharing of the Live Gold membership on the 360.

Any ideas?

360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?

WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

If you have an account on the console that provides home gold to your account on the xbox one yes you have gold however

Home gold doesn't apply to xbox 360

Only the account with actual gold would.be able to roaming with his or her gold

But, on PC, the Xbox live gold is not needed to play online. The FAQ says the Live Gold is required only in Xbox One and 360.

If only one account has gold then that account can get onto xbox live on any console regardless of the "my home xbox" feature.

Xbox live sharing does not work on xbox 360, so you will need more subscriptions for each other account that doesn't have gold.

On the xbox one the my home xbox feature will share xbox live gold and digital games (not all DLC) to all other accounts on that console when the account with gold is the "my home xbox" account but that does not share to backwards compatible games on xbox
one.
