Xbox Live Gold online dashboard reports I'm not member

Hello,

Maybe this is a simple question, but I could not find an answer online.

If I go to "My account" (Se connecter à votre compte Microsoft) it shows correctly that a I have a Xbox Live Gold subscription for a few more months.

But if I go to "Games with Gold", it says I am not a member, and tells me to Join gold now for these offers.

Any idea why my "gold" Live membership is not applied here? does it happen to anyone else? i bought my subscription from a reseller, not directly to Microsoft.

Xbox Live Rewards says I'm not a gold member.

Xbox Live Rewards says I'm not a gold member but I've been one for several years. I signed up for Xbox Live rewards several months ago but I just started looking at it online. I tried to sign up for my achievements but it says I'm not a gold member. Xbox.com
says I'm a gold member and everywhere else it says I'm Gold but Rewards says I'm not. Please help! Thanks, Hunter

 

Cant Connect online...Need help.

I have purchased my live online and i'm a gold member. But it doesnt let me connect to play online on my console. It keeps saying "The current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox Live" however i just purchased my live membership online and im a gold member

 

It's more than likely a glitch in the system. I've read elsewhere that some people have had luck with deleting their gamertag only from the console (not gamertag and items) then clearing the cache and finally restarting the console. They've posted that
they were able to access Gold features again afterward.

Thank you for your reply. I was re-reading my message and I realized I forgot to mention that the problem is in the website "Games with Gold" (www.xbox.com/.../games-with-gold),
in the console it works.

It says this month's "Game with gold" would cost me 19.99, but it should be free. Here it doesn't recognize I have a Gold membership.

I was wondering, does this happen to anyone else?

Ok, that is strange then. I just saw a different post with a similar issue. I will be forwarding this on for them to look up.

 

Hey there, Modenesi! When I go to do a purchase of the Games with Gold, it does say $19.99, but when I purchase it, it says free. Can you try purchasing it and seeing if it shows up as free on the checkout screen for me?

That is something I didn't try. Unfortunately I "bought" the game yesterday from the console, so now it reports the game is already bought. I will try again on September 1st.

However this seems a likely explanation, and possibly the solution. But it is not very user-friendly interface, it should be clear the game is free before clicking on "buy". Do you have contact with the web developers? could you send it as a suggestion?

Thanks so much for the response, Modenesi! Glad to see you were able to at least get it on your console. Please do post back on the 1st if you are able to do it from the website.

The Gold price should show on the website, but not on the green bar on the left that shows the normal price. If you select "Games" underneath
All Products on the left (which generally has a (1) next to it), it will load up the game under the main picture. It should say "GOLD EXCLUSIVE PRICE" and then "FREE" underneath it.

Believe me, I was fooled by it at first, but got the clarification later. This is by design. If you would like to leave feedback for the developers of our site, I suggesting putting up a post on our
Feedback site. In fact, the suggestion may already be there, so do a search for it first. I'd wait until the new deals start, though, so we can make sure that you are seeing the by design feature. I want to confirm
that we don't need to do any further troubleshooting with you first.
