XBOX Live Gold on Two Consoles

Hello,

I have three kids and we just bought a second XBOX ONE, so they can play together sometimes.

All three kids have a their own account under the organizer, my account. We do this so we can set screen time.

All three accounts can sign in and access their games using our home XBOX. However, when a second account logs into the second console, they can't play the game.

Does XBOX Live not work on two consoles? Does the organizer account always need to be signed in? Any thoughts?

Sure. If you get access with the profile where you bought xbox live gold on any console you have you can use that xbox live gold. You can share with a friend also using "This is my xbox home", a function that permit you to use your subscriptions like
xbox live gold (only one subscription for two people and two consoles) using two consoles in the same time (also with the same game)

To share gold, the two accounts have to use the same console and that console has to be your(the gold subscriber) home console. The details of Home Gold sharing are located

Thanks! So what’s the best solution if I want the kids to use their own accounts and be able to play with eachother? Can I get another subscription just for that console?

You can see how to setup a console as the Home console that will allow sharing at Setting up Xbox Home

The Key is to make sure what ever account Currently has Gold to make one Console their Home console. Put Both of the profiles on this console. Then on the Second Console just put the account that has Gold on that console.

Any account on the Home Console can access the games on that console and have access to most Gold features (Multiplayer). The Primary account doesn't have to be signed in for this to happen.

So the Account without Gold can play a game on the Home console online and then the account that has Gold can use the other console to also play games online at the same time.
