    I have a question. Why do we have to pay xbox live gold every month to play fortnite.? The ps4 users dont have to pay for ps plus to play fortnite. So can you guys let us play fortnite without xbox live gold, please?

    Fortnite is a free-to-play game which means it does not require an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

    Xbox Live Gold subscription is not just required for free-to-play games such as Fortnite, Apex Legends, Warzone 2.0 etc.

    Dear Microsoft he or she is totally right since fortnite is a free games it should not require xbox live gold membership. So could you remove xbox live gold from fortnite.

    A subscription to Xbox Live Gold is required for all online multiplayer.

    Without it you can play offline game modes but some games are online only, as Fortnite is.

    You will need to buy a subscription to Xbox Live Gold to play online on Fortnite.
