Xbox Live Gold Not Working

I have xbox live gold, and two months ago (at the very end of January) my account began to have problems. I couldn't log in, I even tried every single support tip and still wouldn't work.

I blamed my internet, of course, since sometimes it would load and disconnect almost instantly.

All right.

These days, it would do the same ennerving thing -> wouldn't log in, and if logged in it would disconnect almost instantly. I blamed the fact that my sister sometimes logs on my account to play online at her house. But the person who pays for this service
- me - cannot do the same. I couldn't even download Tomb Raider, the free game of the month. It would start loading then disconnecting.

So today, I decided that I'd change my password, so, if the problem was that she was using my account, it wouldn't happen again since she wouldn't be able to log in with the old password.

Right. I log in to my Microsoft account, I change the password, then I see a link saying "Payment History". I click on it. Then it shows that the two games I bought last month, (when a miracle happened and my account worked) have its status saying "Complete".

Just to clarify:

My Xbox Live Gold payment (2/9/2015) was pending, however, the game I bought (Game of Thrones) was complete. The credit card used in both transactions is the same.

I was charged yesterday (3/9/2015) and the payment is pending still. In the same credit card.

So, I'd just really love to fix this, or just to have an answer, pretty please. I'm really annoyed with this situation.

Far Cry Blood Dragon isn't free for me with Xbox Live Gold

Managed to get it to work, I used the xbox live website and bought it for free on there, it took some time for it to realize I had xbox live gold.

 

Problem with Xbox LIVE!!!!!

I subscribed to Live Gold.My status is gold, but in game it says Xbox Live Gold account is required for playing multiplayer...It is not working!!

 

As this is a billing issue you'll need to contact phone support for more assistance. If you live in North America you can dial 1-800-469-9269.

Now, I had a similar issue once before and support suggested I contact my bank. The bank would only tell me that it was in a pending state from the seller and they couldn't do anything about it. It was holding up other payments on my card.

What I ended up having to do was contact phone support and have them move the payment from my card to another payment form (ie. paypal). They can do that and it fixed the issue which never happened again.

Also make sure to "disable" the account on your sisters console using
this handy link here. Also you might want to enable two step verification on
this site about profile protection. After you turned on Two Step Verification, you however need to create a so called "app password" on that very page, and use THAT APP PASSWORD on your 360 instead of your "normal" password.

Then this is NOT an account issue. You were able to "buy" the game, otherwise it wouldn't start downloading.

You are shown in this forum as a Gold Member, according to the orange/golden color of your Gamertag name. Are you in a monthly subscription plan? I don't know about the mechanics of Xbox Live, but it could be possible that they immediately deduct money if
you purchase a game, as you get irrevocable instant access to a game or download.

However since I get a lot of chat requests about people having "forgotten" to stop the automatic renewal of their subscription and want a refund, Microsoft will put the payment of the Live membership to "Pending", and if the customer doesn't cancel service,
they finally deduct the payment from the card. If they ask for a refund, Microsoft will instantly cancel the Gold Membership and not withdraw the pending amount. But this is just assumed speculation from my part.

TL;DR: Your account is golden. You were able to "purchase" Tomb Raider, otherwise you couldn't start the download.

If you continue to have download problems, provide more information about your network setup: How is the console connected (wireless or wired Ethernet), and what Internet provider do you use?

 

I'm not getting disconnected constantly, but the game I bought "Naruto Storm R" had to reset a lot and I gave it 12 hours to download and was only at 8%, but it's at 28% now over a hour.

 

superBRADY777, this seems to be a different issue. Therefore I suggest you create a new thread and describe your problem more thoroughly (including if your console is connected via wired ethernet, or wireless LAN, what router you use and what Internet provider
grants you access to the internet).

That way we can get you help specifically tailored to your issue.
