Xbox Live Gold not letting my family have it also

Hello

I have an xbox one and my account has xbox gold. My sons live in another city and have an xbox one. I have them as part of my Xbox Family so they can play online as well and use all of my gold features. This has always worked just fine until the other
day when my son bought a subscription to EA Access for a year. Now, it says he does not have gold, but he is still in my family. So, what is going on? He can't do anything in multiplayer or anything and just bought plants vs gardens 2 for us to play together.
Can anyone please help me get him going? Thank you

How do i know what type of Xbox live account i have?

my xbox tells me i'm in a family and it also says i have xbox live gold, and not xbox live gold family. so which one is it?

Xbox Live Family gold membership

I don't understand why Ireland still don't have this Xbox Live Family Gold membership offer! Why it takes from microsoft so long? UK already have it.

Anyway, my wife have UK account and me + boys have ROI (Republic of Ireland) accounts. So if my wife going to buy xbox live family gold membership, can she add me and boys there? Or not? Will it be work or all members need to be in same region (I hope not,
because like we all know, Microsoft not letting change your account region, so if you move from UK to Ireland you cant change your xbox account region).

Home gold only works on your home console and it can only be one console at a time

Meaning he has to be on your console to use your gold

Unless you specify his console as your home console but then you can only use your digital games only when you are connected online and signed into your profile

A: We will give existing Xbox LIVE Gold members a prorated discount on the purchase of a Family Pack. For each month remaining on your current Xbox LIVE Gold subscription, we will reduce the purchase price of a Family Pack by $5. For example, if you have
six months of your Gold subscription remaining, you qualify for a $30 discount and will only be charged $69.99 at the time of purchase. If you have 20 months or more of your current Xbox LIVE Gold subscription remaining, you can upgrade to an Xbox LIVE Gold
Family Pack for free. You will not receive a refund for any remaining subscription time in excess of 20 months.
