Xbox live gold membership on wrong account

I purchased a code for 3 months gold live membership. However, when the code was input by my daughter, she input it to her account (child account as part of "family" set up) instead of mine. As a result, I cannot now play Halo 5, Titan Fall etc through my
account.

Is it possible to swap the membership onto my account, as it should have been entered on this anyway, or do I have to wait 3 months to play my games, or buy a new code?

Any ideas or assistance appreciated.

How to Turn off auto renewal or cancel Xbox LIVE membership

How to turn off auto renewal

It is recommended that you cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership using the option of turning off automatic renewal. If auto renewal is "off", your membership will expire at the end of its current term.

Steps to follow:

1) If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the upper right hand corner and sign in using your Microsoft account.

2) Proceed to My Account.

3) Click Change next to automatic renewal. Change the setting to OFF

You will be able to continue enjoying all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership until your paid membership time expires.

Note:

If you want to cancel or disable your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership immediately, you should contact Xbox support. Use the Request a Call from Support option on the official Xbox Contact Us page. Your account cannot be canceled through chat or email.

If you disable your account immediately, you will lose the time remaining on your membership subscription.

If you are on a 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract, and you want to cancel before the end of the 2 years, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and other applicable taxes. Once the two-year agreement period is over, your account will not be renewed automatically.

You can cancel the 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract using the option of self-cancel your subscription on Xbox.com

You would have to try contacting support. If it's still within the first month, rhey should be able to cancel the subscription and give you a token for the remaining time to add to the correct account. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or

Given that all the accounts attached to the xbl gold family pack would have been extended by at least 3 months each, i think with the new xbox home you will only need to pay for one xbox live gold unless all the accounts are on different consoles. I could
be wrong but I think that if the accounts are on the same Xbox ONE console, then it will allow you to buy the one xbox live gold membership and that will be cheaper than the family gold membership in the long run.

I believe that all of the accounts linked will be gold. This is the reasoning for the price increase of a xbox live gold membership.

Unfortunately it is intended that Trials do not stack
with existing memberships. It's also mentioned on the support page Xbox Live Gold trial memberships

Notes

The Xbox Live Gold trial membership is associated with a single gamertag.

You can't add an Xbox Live Gold trial membership to an existing membership.

Only three trial accounts are available per console. This limitation cannot be reset.

After a user has created three trial accounts on their console, the user no longer receives a message that provides the opportunity to create an Xbox Live Gold trial account.

To sign up for the Xbox Live Gold trial membership, you must add a payment method to your account.

This also works in a vice versa way meaning that if you have a trial membership it will be lost if you purchase a gold membership
