Xbox Live gold membership not payable with Microsoft $.

I just wanted to express my disgust and admiration for the dirty yet brilliant business practice that myself - and hundreds of others have experienced with the XBL gold payment method not accepting the prepaid Microsoft $ cards. I have been using prepaid
debit cards forever to pay for my gold subscription. I ran out of gold (at the most inconvenient of times as always haha) and picked up a $50 microsoft card to pay for it - it doesnt work. I think Microsoft should more explicitely state something about that
on there cards. Something along the lines of "You can not purchase Xbox Live gold with this currency". The only info that is remotely like that are "Xbox Live Required" and "(exclusions apply)" and "paid subscriptions required for some content" on the back
of the card. Excuse me for not reading the fine print - but if you can pay for DLC *and* a gold membership with a prepaid debit card, why not a prepaid microsoft card that functions in the exact same way? Who's with me?!
