Xbox Live Gold Membership and Portal

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for advice on how to get and start playing Portal.

I can totally understand how this can be disheartening since all your multiplayer games do in fact work.

I would say that if you haven't yet, try power cycling the console following the steps outlined in How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console.
If that does not let you access the game, next try removing and redownloading the console as delineated in How to add or
remove a Microsoft account on Xbox One.

When you get a chance, give those steps a shot and let us know how that helped.

If you are sharing gold with a family member or friend via a home xbox, and your friend/family member is the one who purchased the gold, they will need to download the game. If you purchased your gold then I'd recommend power cycling the console by holding
down the power button until it resets and then try it again, and if that doesn't work then try contacting Support

If you are using an Xbox Live Gold 14-Day Trial you will not be able to download these games as it would require having an active 1 Month Gold membership (minimum 1 month of Gold) for you to be able to download the titles available through Games With Gold.

No, i never pushed install because it said it cost $15
