Xbox Live Gold members download free games with Gold are asked to provide Credit Card!!!! ...

Hello, everyone,

I always believe provide information of Credit Card in the world of games is not safe method to pay a bill. So I prefer to use a prepaid gift card or redeem a code.

Why Xbox.com change the policy this month? Before December 2015, they never ask a credit card information to members of Xbox Live Gold ?

Why do you change the policy? Don't you know it is very danger to provide the confidential information in a world of games? Don't you know how many hackers are there?

Please protect our rights of Xbox Live Gold members!

Why can't you buy backwards compatible games with credits/money on your Microsoft account

Why is it that if you want to buy a 360 or OG Xbox game on Xbox One you have to provide your credit card info? why can't you purchase these games with the credit/money on your Microsoft account? and further more why is that if you want to download the 360
games that are free that month in Games with Gold, you have to provide credit card info? That game is free during it time in Games with Gold, so there is no reason to provide any credit card info. It's free. I only ask these questions because not everyone
is able/willing to provide their credit card info.

XBOX Games with Gold Question.

I have been downloading all the games with gold games.

But my nephew tried and it asked for a credit card.

He doesnt have a credit card hooked up to his account because he's under 18.

How can he download the games with gold without a credit card.

Also he has xbox live gold.

Is it an xbox 360 games with gold if it is then yes you must have an payment option on file

Download wont even start for me. It is this month's free game with gold. It is the 16th here. Wont let me start the download. Keeps asking for credit card even though it says free. I'm a gold member not sure what the problem is. Maybe to early? But
shows the game in the search engine and says free.

According to the Games with Gold FAQ (support.xbox.com/.../games-with-gold), you need to be enrolled in a paid gold subscription.

Q. What if I am on a 30 day Gold credit card trial?

You are eligible. You must be enrolled to a paid Gold Membership or a Gold trial that requires a credit card.

Q. What if I am on a non-paid trial and I go Gold during the trial period to take advantage of a free game offer? Will I get the game?

If you upgrade to Gold during the duration of your non-paid Gold trial, your Gold membership will not start until the end of your free trial. As such, you will not be eligible to download a currently offered free game until your trial period ends and your
Gold membership begins.

I am xbox live gold subscriber to a few months and one of the main reasons to subscribe to this service was the free games.

Well now that went backward compatibility microsoft says any gold subscriber can download the Xbox one games and the Xbox 360 for free, but then why you ask for a credit card? Hey games are not free?

This is a tremendous *** if I knew it would not sign the live.

I want to download the Live games without the credit card crap.

Can you please do something about it.

If you do not resolve my problem I will be required to sign for this illusory service. What a disappointment.
