xbox live gold lost

hi all, this has happened to me twice now and made me sell my xbox one and go over to playstation,,,i pay for 12 months gold and i tried logging into my old xbox 360 and it asked me for password, i enter my password but then i get security messages saying
i need to get a code but my only way to get said security code was with an old mobile number i no longer use so i was locked out of my account for 3 months before i could get verified through my email and therefore losing 3 months gold, which is £15 to buy
for 3 months gold and this is the second time ive have been locked out for 3 months both times losing 3 months and that was enough to make me lose faith in microsoft,, gone are the days of them seeing there mistakes themselves and offering some gold in compensation,,
it was a nice gesture and made me a hardcore xbox fan since the original xbox, splinter cell pandorum days lol and ive kept my son and myself up to date with every new console to come out from 3 types of xbox 360, the very 1st xbox one which i pre ordered
,then the 1tb version, then the xbox one elite x2 for both my son and I and now he has the xbox one s and as i said i sold my elite cus im tired of it,,the customer service just isnt the same any more ,i can remember my friends buying 360s and them having
problems, ring of fire , and microsoft did the righ thing and you could mail it back to them for free and they either repaired it or replaced it and if you had problems with any service they would other free gold which made microsoft a much better company
than other console manufacturers , aswell as the xbox just being better than the playstation, haha but anyways my point is its not fair to lose 25% of something you have paid for and its not the 1st time,,im back looking at buying the new xbox when its available
but i worry about losing gold,,,im not rich ok,,children are expensive,,,anyways thats my rant,,microsoft please up your game again.
