    Xbox live gold issue after today's update


    Xbox updated today and every time I try to do anything it pops up telling me I need xbox live gold to that - okay I thought, maybe it's expired? Tried a 3 day code and it tells me I've already got xbox live gold????

    Any my ideas good people?

    No change after today's update, and still waiting on some acknowledgement of the issue.

    Microsoft giving free digital games for users with broken disc drives

    I was just told this while chatting with an MS rep about a separate issue: "Every console sent in for repair will have a free 30 day Xbox Live Gold subscription after the repair. However for those with disc unreadable issue, on top of the free 30 day Xbox Live Gold subscription, they'll receive a free game token." They will email the code after the replacement XBox has shipped.

    The issues you have described is very common after the last game update. For the Goldflake error on Warzone, the solution is getting Xbox Live. The game is supposed to be free to play but after the last update, it no longer launches without Xbox Live Gold.

    The issues with Modern Warfare is very common as well. Hopefully Activision releases a fix/patch to address this soon.

    The Goldflake error on Call of Duty Warzone became very popular after the last update. The game is still in the Free to play list, however if the gamer do not have an Xbox Live Gold subscription it doesn’t fully launch and comes up with the error code named Goldflake.

    The only way around the error for now is by getting a Live Gold subscription pending when an official word is released to address the issue.

    Hello Ivan, free games like Fortnite no longer require live Gold to play online, but paid games still need the Live Gold or Ultimate subscription that owns Live Gold.
