Xbox Live Gold I bought for a year is charging me per month

Well it says both on the Xbox Dashboard and on the site here under Upgrade in "My Account" the three subscription options:

- the one month of Gold = $9.99

- the three month of Gold = $29.99 / $8.99 per month

- the one year of Gold = $59.99 / $5 per month

I checked the info on it but it doesn't mention anything about the monthly fee instead of the full price on purchase which is why I'm confused why it says it's $5 a month for the $59.99 payment for one year of Gold subscription. Doesn't tell me if it will
just charge $5 monthly for a full year or not.

1) OK, but if I convert my account, I get the first month for $1, then $14.99 per month after that, for what? I already pay $60 a year for xbox gold.

2) A friend said they converted ALL their remaining months of xbox live gold to ultimate and it only cost them $1 in TOTAL, not per month. He said he renewed his gold, then paid $1 extra, and now he has ultimate for the next 14 months, no monthly charge,
does that ring true with anyone here?

Hi, As the Xbox 360 is nearing the end of its lifespan i would recommend an Xbox one over an Xbox 360, even if it meant saving for a few more months.

The you need Xbox Live Gold to play online multiplayer on both consoles. Xbox Live gold is a subscription that Retails at $90AUD per year, but can be bought in smaller amounts like 1 and 3 months.

So... I have the 12 month recurring subscription for Xbox Live Gold (£49.99 per year). I want upgrade to Games Pass Ultimate (£10.99 per month).

My question is do I need to cancel my Xbox live gold sub, and then get ultimate pass. Or will it cancel it automatically?
