Xbox live gold games HELP

How do I download the Xbox live gold game on "my account". My cousin downloaded it on my Xbox one and it won't allow me to play it. I've tried redownloading it under my account name which it downloads, but I am still unable to download the game. This has
happened in the past.

Do i need xbox live

You will not need gold to buy games (but you will need an xbox live id/gamertag) thats a given, same for iplayer (assuming it comes to xbox one)

As for renting movies not sure ive always had gold when ive done it

Hi there could you provide more details. Was your cousin signed into your profile or another profile? When you say you've tried re-downloading it, what steps are you taking and what happens? Does the download complete, does it do nothing?

In order to continue playing games obtained via Games with Gold, you must use the same account they were acquired on and have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to maintain playability. For more information on Games with Gold games and Xbox Live
