Xbox Live Gold from NA Xbox One to European Xbox One

I wasn't able to find the answer to my question anywhere else so I thought I'd ask here...

I just moved to Italy from the United States where I have a Xbox One. I would like to buy a Xbox here in Italy but am worried it may not work the way I would like it to...

Will my Xbox Live Gold account work on the European Xbox?

Will my Xbox Live Game downloads (I never purchased any physical game, only digital downloads) work as they did on the original Xbox?

I remember reading Xbox One games are region free and that Xbox Live would also work regardless...

Will I only be able to use American credit cards? If so, is there any way around it?

1. Your account will also work on an European Xbox. Also your gold submission will work.

2. If you choose USA as your region and locale on the One there will be no change for you in any way. Your downloads and digital purchases can be downloaded and installed and will even start where you left them in the USA as the savegames are stored in the
cloud along with your profile.

3. As long as your account and billing information and locale will stay the same with your adress in the USA the credit cards will work, too.

4. It only gets complicated if your decide to change the locale of your account to Italy. Then you would not be able to use your US credit cards anymore as your account needs a proper billing address, which for US cards of course is an address in the USA.
But with a locale setting of Italy you cannot configure a billing address outside Italy. You will also be unable to use subscriptions only available on the US marketplace as well as games only being available there. Your gold submission will not be affected.

5. If you of course change your account settings and locale to Italy and also add a proper billing address for Italy you will be able to use italian credit cards then. But you may be affected by limitation on subscriptions and games then as explained in
4.

Oh btw... until now it is not possible to set locale to Italy and language to English unfortunately.

So If I still have my USA bank accounts I should probably set my locale to USA so I keep the language in English then. I hope they separate locale and languages in the future though...

All my games will work in any locale though, right? They aren't region locked for Xbox One?

I understand things like Netflix wont work. Dont mind that though. More interested in just being able to access my already purchased games, playing with friends as my current gamertag, and buying new games on demand.

Yes, that should work for you as you describe it. Especially using your current gamertag with the purchased games.
