Discus and support XBOX Live Gold Family done now???? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Ya, I probably missed it somewhere. So, we had the Xbox Live Gold Family pack before.     XBOX Live Gold Family done now????


    Ya, I probably missed it somewhere.

    So, we had the Xbox Live Gold Family pack before. I guess the subscription has renewed and changes have been made. Because my son can no longer log in on his gamer tag.

    Did I miss something?

    Do I have to buy him his own Live account now?

    Or is there something that I have to set up for this?

    Microsoft just ended the Family Plan for good

    Microsoft sent this announcement via e-mail to all Family Plan members. This is terrible for people who have more than one console. Also note (in bold) that this answers the questions about the Gold Live sharing on multiple consoles. So if you plan to throw out your 360's and game library and have you family glued to one Xbox One then you are good. Once you go that friends house your family cannot play in Live on either console unless you have an additional sub. Terrible.

    the family account was discontinued months ago so yes your son needs his own gold membership for his tag to be able to play online

    With the recent changes you will have to buy him his own account if you are still playing on an Xbox 360. If you have upgraded to the Xbox One, then only one member needs a Gold subscription as it can be shared with all other users on that console.

    Xbox no longer offers the Family Gold, each account needs its own Gold.. If you have Xbox One, you only need one account with Gold.

    You want the 4th link down.

    But it looks like everything must be done from the Family Plan's primary member.

    The Xbox LIVE Family Pack has been discontinued. To continue with Xbox LIVE Gold subscriptions you must now purchase separate subscriptions for the accounts you want to be Gold Members.
