Xbox Live Gold Disappeared

Just want to share my experience losing xbox live gold and the response from online support for others fyi.

I've been annually renewing xbox live gold in Nov by purchasing through cdkeys. I did this in Nov 2016, Nov 2017, and Nov 2018. On March 27th, 2019 I had xbox live gold access and on March 28th, 2019 it disappeared. The subscription check capability says
my xbox live gold expired in Nov 2018 and was never renewed. I'm not a tech wizard, but here's what I know:

1. I bought a renewal 12 month xbox live subscription in Nov 2018 (I have the receipt and the redemption key) and successfully redeemed it (this is how I continued to play Nov - Mar 27th)

2. I have never used xbox live gold sharing (didn't even know that was possible until yesterday)

3. I used the live service approximately daily Nov 2018 - March 27th, 2019.

After discussing online with tech support, this is the extent of the help provided:

A. They see my subscription expired in Nov 2018 and was not renewed

B. They checked the code I purchased through cd keys, confirmed I paid for it, and told me it was redeemed by another user in Feb 2019.

C. They confirmed I've been playing on Xbox live Nov 2018 - Mar 2019.

The final conclusion from xbox live support.

D. I must have been using xbox live gold sharing and it stopped on March 27th (they conclude this because they see no subscription and it's the only other way to access ... aka its an assumption).

Of course there's nothing I can do here. I don't understand why my xbox live gold service disappeared or how my redemption code came to be associated with someone else 3 months after I bought it. My actual actions are super straightforward: I bought a
code, redeemed it, and played as usual until one day (March 28th) I didn't. I suppose I'll buy a new subscription because what other choice do I have but just be forewarned this can happen. Randomly the hard drive my x box x also crashed on March 28th (i.e.
unable to factory reset), out of warranty of course, so yesterday was an A+ day for my xbox experience.
