Xbox Live Gold Defective

I bought an Xbox Live Gold Card today. I went to redeem the code, but nothing happened! Yet, my Xbox says it’s redeemed when I typed it again.

What happened!? I should have gotten a subscription, but it didn’t and says it’s already redeemed!!!

Recieved a defective game. Worked for an hour now wont read no scratches on disc and other games seem to work fine.

Sorry to hear about your subscription, let's get you back online asap. If you haven't already, please perform a

Power Cycle by doing the following:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the
Xbox button on your controller.

Note If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down

If for whatever reason, this doesn't get your Gold to work, try
Removing and Adding your account. Let us know if this helps.

Also check on your Miscrosoft account's subsriptions here: https://account.microsoft.com/services/

See if the service appears active and it should say "Paid with prepaid card"

Unfortunately, for a long time customer of Xbox Live, it is a defect. I started my Xbox Live account prior to Microsoft Rewards being available. My gamertag is linked to a Hotmail account. No one uses Hotmail anymore. I use an Outlook e-mail to accumulate
Microsoft Rewards. Microsoft should allow long-time Xbox Live customers, like myself, to migrate their Xbox Live account from an outdated/unused Hotmail account to an Outlook account. It is common sense, and it is a defect. So again I ask, when will defect
to that functionality be recognized and addressed?

I think my Xbox one is defective also because it won't let me connect to xbox live and it says my WiFi is good and it won't let me play games online at all. My Xbox One if defected!!

It turns out my XBox was defective - I returned it to Walmart and the replacement connected to XBox Live without any issues.
