Xbox Live Gold Code not Activated

I tried to activate an Xbox Live Gold card I've had sitting around for a little while, but I got an error, which said,"This code isn’t activated yet". I'm sure that this card has not been used yet, but I'm not sure where I bought it. Below is

That usually means that where ever you purchased the card or whomever purchased it for you - the cashier did not activate the card. In that case - you would need to return the card to where you purchased it as Support cannot do anything with an unactivated
card.

If you have activated the code, you need to restart the console to save the code and activate it in your account then Xbox Live Gold will work.

I just got my xbox one s with Battlefield 5 bundle. I also got a 14 day trail xbox live gold membership code along with the bundle. I used the code. It said my live gold is active. but i was still not able to play multiplayer on my Battlefield 5.
then i checked if the live gold was really active or not and it wasn't activated for some reason. I tried the code again and it said code already used. what do i do to redeem my prepaid code?

Make sure you have Xbox Live GOLD. You cannot connect to netflix without it. Second, have you activated your netflix account thorugh xbox. Go to Xbox and get the activation code and using the activate code, activate your account

Hi, if you activate Xbox LIVE Gold. You need to restart the console to get the code credited and activated to your account. Then it will work.
